Not every spiritual voice is from God.

In Acts 13, Paul confronts a false prophet who is twisting truth, opposing the gospel, and trying to keep someone from Jesus. This message is a serious warning for our generation: false teaching is not harmless, it can mislead people, families, and even generations.

From personal family history with Mormonism to modern distortions of Scripture, this sermon calls us back to the unshakable truth of God’s Word. If we are not rooted in Scripture, we will be vulnerable to lies.

Be cautious. Stay grounded. Test every voice against the Word of God.

  • Everyone will be dressed in what’s comfortable. Some people rock button-ups. Others T-Shirts. If you look extra snazzy, more power to you. Feel comfortable to be yourself.

  • Each weekend we gather to hear fresh, relevant, teaching from the bible that will impact your real life. We speak to non-christians and christians alike because we’re a church that exists for the West Valley. A band leads us in a time of musical worship to Jesus. We have response times where people can go be prayed for, take communion (eat bread and drink juice remembering what Jesus did for us), or give to the mission.

    If you’re new, we don’t pressure you to do things like take communion or give money. We actually don’t want you to. We give as a church to create space for you. We genuinely care about you and you’re our valued guest.

  • We are a non-denominational church but anchored in the Historic Christian Confessions, imbued by the wisdom of Christian history, and affiliated with doctrinally sound Christian networks: Vision Arizona, Flatirons Church Planting Network, and Strategic Launch Network.

    We joke that we’re bapti-costal because we’re serious about robust verse by verse bible teaching and passionate Spirit-filled living. We believe the Spirit is at work bringing about order and beauty in the life of Christians the same today as in the early church because He is unchanging.

    All followers of Jesus are called to advance the mission by making disciples. This can look like sharing your faith, inviting someone to church, or simply living like Christ to show how worthy He is.   • Yes! Our middle school students meet during the 11:00 AM service in the Shadow Ridge Cafeteria, and our high school students meet Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM at Grace Point Church.
