Shepherd With Wounds

In John 10, Jesus calls Himself the Good Shepherd. Not the safe shepherd. Not the distant one. The Good Shepherd, who knows your name, nurtures your soul, and bleeds for your redemption. He doesn’t run when wolves come. He stands in your place. He’s not like the selfish leaders Ezekiel condemned. He doesn’t exploit the sheep, He rescues them. And when we doubt, we don’t look to the stars for comfort. We look to His scars. He knows you. He loves you. He gave Himself for you.
